To All The Mothers

I couldn't let today go by without honoring my mother, my grandmother and all the other wonderful mothers out there. I love you mom! To each of you a wonderful Mother's Day!

Maybe these songs don't quite honor our mother's in the way we should today (uh, Danzig?), but title-wise they fit the bill! Hey, at least I tried!

I don't know much about International House of Karen, but as far as I know it is a side project for various comps from Karen Ried from bunnygrunt. This track appears on one of the great Patty Duke fanzines!

Madeleine Peyroux is one of the few artists that I loved upon the first word out of her mouth. Any song she lends her voice to becomes instantly amazing and I hope I can manage to see her live one of these days. This track comes from the Sweetheart 2005 compilation.

Sleater-Kinney are one of my all-time favorite bands, and although they are on permanent hiatus I have high hopes that they will once again perform and I will be there rockin out with all the other kids!
